Wondering how much money people spend playing pool. Playing in leagues, practicing and drinking per week thank you in advance.

Nothing major recently, don't play league, maybe start plaing $5.00 ENTRY Tournements in a few weeks when NCIS, NCIS LA, and Criminal Minds stops for the summr break. I am wait for a NEW CASE that was paid for a while back, and am told it is coming soon.

30-50 dollars a week I would guess. This includes league fees, quarters on Friday or saturday as well as occasional food and the often needed beverages. I guess if you count the wifey in there is another approx $15 in league fees.

If you include food, tipping and table time only, I'm going to guess I average about $100 a week. I'm happy if I break even playing a tournament.

Before I had health problems and had to give up poolrooms and booze I spent about $300 a week. I bought so much booze that my pool was always free (about 50 hrs a week worth). Now probably $30 a week for supplies, cues, and recovering. Johnnyt

When its time for leagues $5.00 a week for it. As for practice $50.00 a year membership at the Moose for all the free pool I want. They have a 7 coin operated table upstairs for free. Downstairs a 9 foot Brunswick table and beside it an 8 foot table.

Not counting league fees (when I played in the leagues), I spend about $500.00 - $700.00 per year on playing pool. If I counted the cost of a new GCIII many years ago it would up my expenses. My expenses are mainly for equipment, cloth, etc. I rarely play in a pool hall as I have my own equipment. Where I live now the association owns the four GC IIIs so I now have no real expenses except what I choose to buy, like the Justa Bridge I recently bought.

Gambling pretty much evens out over the course of a year. I might be up a few bucks here and down a few over there. Seems to me that money won / lost is a pretty good measure of your ability to match up equally with your buddies. I tend to break even which is where I want it. Its is about the game and not about the money for me.

Now that's a sweet deal. Johnnyt
