Pawn Shops
Pawn shops are a good way to go, but you will usually only find production cues. Most pawn dealers don't even know what a Bender is, and therefore they will not give the money due for one, and therefore it won't be pawned. Unless the guy that owns it doesn't know what it is, and then it will be CHEAP!!! I always look at pawn shops to see what has been pawned, and if I think I can turn it quickly. Just bought a Meucci in good condition and a Joss sneaky at a pawn shop. Bought them both with cases for $50 total. Sold them locally within 2 days for $350 total. But you just never know. It is always a crap shoot, and you must GO INTO the pawn shop and ASK, in order to find the steals. Just ask me about the Gilbert and Bender I got at pawn shops in New Orleans for under $100 each. But then again, I have spent much time in pawn shops going through crap to find the diamond. Good way to find a steal, and play with it, try out the maker, and then sell for profit. That is what I do.
