Hi once again !

Maybe you might be able to help me.

I playing mainly with close bridge, how my bridge will react with Z-2 shaft taper ? Will the fingers keep opening ? Is it irritating to use Z-2 shaft for close bridge? ( I'm using a long bridge, like Shane or Earl)

I was busy wondering how comfortable or uncomfortable it has to be to play with stronger taper (Z-2) comparing to pro taper (314-2).
Specially with long stroke.

Have you seen these new Z2 shafts from seyberts?

These Z2 "TUNED" shafts have a pro taper instead of the conical taper

To answer your question, I played with a 314-2 shaft for 4 years before I switched over to a Z2 shaft. I, like yourself have a long bridge. It took me about 3 weeks to get to the point where I didn't even notice the conical taper. The more you play with it the more you'll get used to it.

thank you for your replay :)

That is what I wanted to know, if is really irritating or it is one of those little thinks which you can easily can get use to :)

Thx as well for seybert's product ;) That would be spot on for me, but the issue is, I will be buying whole cue with shaft from Europe from authorised seller. Cause buying from USA and paying duty will cost me much more then just buying from EU, unfortunately

Paying ~$200 duty is a bit too much...:poke:

I have no problem using Z2 and closed bridge, but I use a glove, so the shaft fits pretty well. However for the last couple weeks, I switched to a open bridge, using closed bridge for the power shotsa, or long draw/follow shots.
I think i'll get used to that shaft.

This is the Gods honest truth. I despise a conical taper, but it would affect my game 10 times as much knowing I pissed away 259 dollars on a cue shaft that I could have bought on ebay for 30 bucks, sanded down to the taper of my liking, and stuck a 4 dollar Tiger Emerald tip on or 3 dollar milk dud on and called it a day. No lie.
