How Ronnie O’Sullivan’s Snooker Cue Action Works

I don't think Ronnie hits the ball as hard as some. He doesn't do the Trump/Robertson shots for the most part. Also, a very important part of his technique on a lot of power shots is that he significantly bends his cue with his chin.
I agree bob. But I mean he does those shots nowadays rare, but when he was young he was shooting them a lot. He now uses finesse than brute force and ability what he used to do. Anyways my point is that he is best keeping his form and judging hard speed shots when they need to be used. Trump and Robertson like to use power spin shots. Ronnie is more power stun guy. So he really keep tip hit accuracy suberb, no matter what speed he uses.
Also it does not seem he hit balls hard(on video, i think video is deceiving) because he does it so smooth. One can see when Trump or Robertson hit balls hard though.

The analyst discovered what CJ Wiley discovered years ago. A small off center hit adjusted for before the shot works better than trying and failing to hit a perfect center ball hit.
PJ says “Still nonsense after all these years”

So nearly every pro we see playing with a bit of “helping” outside english, are being nonsensical, is what you’re saying?

I don't think that's what PJ is calling 'nonsense'.

Are you trying to say that CJ's technique is about "helping" english? If so, I don't think you understand what you're trying to defend.

It’s obvious you didn’t read my post. I didn’t write about CJ’s TOI. I wrote about how the margin of error concept he talks about also relates to our use of gearing english. The reason to consider it relates to ROS and CJ addressing the purist notion of hitting pure center strokes consistently. Both realistically say that theory on that front doesn’t translate into practice. That comes from two very accurate cueists. I’m saying that most pros from all over the world embrace the use of what I said, “helping” outside english.

I responded about his margin of error concept making no sense. Kinda made the rest of it non-essential reading for me.
