Happens to every level. They can be quite fantastic at times.

Another take on the question would be how much slop you can expect to get.
Before I first tried 3C I had the idea maybe a player who thinned one ball and blasted the cue ball around the table might pick up quite a few points. Having played (once), I don't think that's true after all.

In 3 cushion luck is pretty much a rarity.
It happens, but when it does it's pretty much laughs all around.

When I play with a complete beginner who has intermediate to advanced levels of pool knowledge, I don't tend to see a lot of lucky shots.
When I play with a beginner with less pool experience, I tend to see more. Possibly because they're hitting the balls harder and sending them all over, I suppose.

About a year ago I slopped three shots in a run of 7 or 8. Pretty memorable.
Which, in the context of my above post, means I am pretty much a beginner even after all these years hahahaha!

Luck plays a part in all aspects of life. I do know that if i missed as many shots in pool as i do in 3 cushion i would probably quit. 3 cushion is a wonderfully hard game.

The interesting thing about the game of billiards is i find myself rooting for my opponents when they are trying difficult shots.
Does anyone know if there is a thread I can go to that discusses why Caudron and others were banned from the UMB?
Caudron and others played in Korea's PBA events and the UMB is trying to punish them.
