how to become known

well im 19 years old and have a very solid game. i was wondering how do i qualify for the junior national tournament, i live in chicago, i hear this year the junior national tournament is for 19 and under. how do young players become known in the world of 9 ball.

Are you sure? The junior nationals has generally had two divisions, the 14 & under and the 18 & under. Here's a relevant link:

The best way to become a known player is to play in some big tournaments and of course finish high in them. Beleave me if you are that good people will here about you. I sponcered 2 kids in the Jr. Nationals one time and it is only for 18 and under. One of them finishied 2nd in the 14 and under. He was 13 at the time and beet Earl Strickland in a tournament in NC. The tournament was a race to 5 but i think Atam would have beet him anyway. Good luck
 
You're known now. Keep people updated on this message board and you might gain a following. Seriously though, you shouldn't be concerned about being known. You should be concerned with being the best player you can be.
 
That's so true.. You don't need to worry about being "known". Just be worried about what you are known for! If you seek acknowledgment, you will loose respect.

The right people are always watching for talent. Worry about your game and how to get better.

Practice as much as you can because when this I.P.T. thing works out, you're at the prime age to take advantage of it. Good luck. Peace, John.
