i am willing to raise the bet anytime i feel i have the best of it. and tend to quit whenever i feel that has changed or ask to adjust.
i set the parameters of the game before we start. you play me and either can quit at anytime you want just like playing in a casino.
plus i dont play sets. then an argument is only over one game.
who pays time is decided before as well. i usually say winner pays time, which is me most often. but nowadays many places have monthly rates so some players time is free so they dont feel they should pay for your time and i can see that as you dont pay for theirs.
Winner pays time is the proper move.
A winner who doesn’t pay time is a super-nit
The exception is if the person is super new to pool and doesn’t know that winner pays time, then they should only be gambling with other bangers.
Or agree ahead of time that your playing for time and $20 or what ever bet size then the loser pays-that’s ok too, as it’s stipulated beforehand.
Now here in LA where pool time itself is more than most people will actually bet. Playing for the time is big action. And it’s wise to post up the stake for the time in advance unless you really trust who you are playing. But that’s a LA thing………20 million people and no gambol. I need to move
