I'm sure there's been a thread on this already... but I usually vacuum and then use a damp cloth to wipe off the felt. but the kamui just don't come off...

No good solution short of a complete wash job with a shopvac immediately behind (very light solution of ivory soap/rinse well very well) .. After it drys you might have to iron it (permanent press setting... move quickly).

You might try the new Outsville's 'Great White'... no dyes/no stains .. just saying,

Good Luck getting the Kamui dyes out of the silk

Kamui chalk makes a huge mess and causes tons of skids. Why anyone uses it is beyond me..........

I had a cube of the soft stuff. A friend sent me a cube the harder version as he didn't like it.

The first time I used it, I got a little on my shaft and hand. Instantly stained the shaft, and when I went into the wash room after my game to wash it off my hand, water made it set in like a nasty dye. Water only made it worse.

When I die, I will have an antique cube of Kamui to leave in my Will.

Why anyone would pay that much for a cube of stain is beyond me also.

Not meant for the OP... but I have to repeat myself on Kamui chalk.

I said it several years ago and I'll say it again (to all of those people who said that Kamui chalk was so great). First of all a chalk that holds to a tip that long shouldn't be called chalk... you call it a cube of clay.
As I told those who were so impressed with it... "get your own table and see how long you use it". I knew if it held to the tip then any transfer to the cue ball was also going to transfer to other balls and the cloth. If it sticks to the tip of your cue then it's going to stick to everything via transference!!! It shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a "real" pool table or cue stick.

With that being said... to the OP, I hope that you do indeed find a solution to getting all of that crap out of your cloth. I have a house rule of "Masters Only" chalk on my table. Won't even allow "Silver Cup" because it's so fine that it gets down into the weave too easy... so you can never vacuum it all back out and it just collects under the cloth. I also have a rule of never matching the chalk color with my cloth color. If I see obvious chalk spots and buildup then it's time for a vacuum. Matching colors camouflage chalk buildup too much.
Good luck, Hopefully there is a solution out there that won't involve a new replacement cloth to get rid of your problem.

Just buy some Magic Chalk off of me! Problem solved. It covers great and outperforms Kamui. It is cheaper and goes on dry! :)

Some of the local guys that have tried it, love it.

Vacuum. use a brush on the chalk stains you don`t get with the vacuum cleaner.
Vacuum again, wipe the table down with a damp microfibre cloth.

Wow! I have a 9' Diamond Pro Am that gets played on 10-15 hrs a week and I have used Kamui Chalk exclusively for the past two years. I have had no issue with my table being marked or chalk making a mess. I wonder if some are using way too much of the Kamui Chalk? I vacuum my table and Quick Clean it once a week.
