So DIYer over here, I have been working on my new table. First 9ft(it's a Gandy from old 211 club in Seattle), first time working on a table. I got the Simonis videos and one called roll true or something like that, those with my DIYer knowledge has taken me most the way. However there was nothing on how to cut the rail cloth in either video. I know some cloth rips straight but the Simonis 860 doesn't seem like thats an option and at the price I don't want to take any chances. I also didn't realize feather strips didn't come in perfect sizes(I know duh), but I figured that out with a model planer and some razors. Any advise will be greatly appreciated.

All rail cloths come off the long side of the bed cloth, meaning lengthwise, and will always tear straight, just cut in about an inch every 6'' for 3 long rips off the side for the rail cloth, then cut them in half, just make sure the 860 is 78'' wide to begin with first:grin:

Thanks much RKC. Btw those videos were awesome, I have MS so my brain doesn't work well when focusing or problem solving, memory, ect. sometimes. So when it comes to playing pool or working on a table for the first time it can be very hard and frustrating when the MS is acting up. Having your videos to refer back to whenever I needed has been amazing, usually I would have to just stop and wait til my brain heals which could be days or months, or of course get a pro to do it, but I love everything pool so working on my own table or cue is just as rewarding to me as running out. Anyway, Thank you for that is what I am trying to say.
