How to make a Snooker Cue.

I thought you guys might get a kick out of this. This guy makes a snooker cue using hand tools. He does have a wood lathe but only shows it once.

Ok this is interesting from the stand point how the cue is put together but the fact he has a bunch of shafts? turned (shaved down) in the background. I guess it goes to show that if you want something bad enough you will make it w/what you have. While he is not too well read can't kill the heart to which was put into the effort!!

Yep. That's pretty much how snooker cues are made. I make mine slightly differently but the same principles apply. Mostly done with hand planes.

I was surprized to see the final result. The man seemed to take fine approach and did everything right, yet the cue he made looks far from what I expected... It's kinda ugly.

He actually does a pretty fair job considering the rudimentary tools he is using.
