How to make the blue book more accurate

Simple photographers shouldn't be allowed to carry so much weight. Unfortunately small time people are often able to force their aganda in ways that defy logic and good judgement
. . . . . huh?

I would like to see a section on cue cases, both old and new. Some people are just as proud of the case as the cue that's in it.

And as we all know, the cue doesn't anywhere without the case.

in the bluebook brad said he was a "cue expert" along with bill grassley

Dude

All I know is that the guy has some nice, nice cues like you and me and he sent me a great pic of Dennis Searing with 'Orange Crush'. A nice guy with obviously above average knowledge on cues for sure. As to the term 'cue expert', I don't know as we have only exchanged a handful of emails and the odd letter.

I don't have my 3 copies yet so not sure what context his name has been used. Still waiting over here in England. Looks like I am not missing much by the looks of several threads.

I suppose none of my cues are in there then, Jeff? I was supposed to have at least 10 in there. Given I have cues in the first 2 books it pains me to think I have no cues in the 3rd. Not even Orange Crush?????? Two cue makers emailed me to say the information they provided for the book wasn't used. Shame.

for searing they have blair thiens cue and thats it! it's also the pic you have already seen! DUDE!

Nightmare. Oh well!!!

GOT MY BOOK TODAY... ITS A CROCK...

THE BOOK IS WORTHLESS.. NOT ACCURATE AT ALL... THERE ARE AT LEAST TEN TOP NOTCH CUEMAKERS WHO I WOULD BUY EVERY CUE MADE FROM THEM AT THERE SUGGESTED VALUE IN THE BLUE BOOK..

FOR EXAMPLE A MCDERMOTT MASTERPIECE IS WORTH MORE THAN A MIKE BENDER OR A JAMES WHITE OR A TIM SCRUGGS LEVEL 3 CUE... OR THE SAME AS A PAUL MOTTEY LEVEL 3 CUE.. FIND ME ONE PERSON IN THE WORLD WHO WOULD DO THAT TRADE EVEN...

THE VALUES IN THE BOOK ARE A JOKE..

COGNOSCENTIS AND MCWORTERS VALUED HIGHER THAN 95% OF THE OTHER CUEMAKERS.. SORRY ,, NOT NOWHERE NEAR TRUE..

JOEL HERCEKS LEVEL 4 CUES ARE WORTH $1250 MORE THAN BARRY SZAMBOTI.

DO I NEED TO GO FURTHUR.. YOU WOULD THINK AS LONG AS IT TOOK TO GET THIS OUT IT WOULD AT LEAST BE ACCURATE..

ICONCUE - Executed?

Jeff has deleted all his posts from threads he did not start.
For all the posts he started, he has removed the initial content.

His comment below the missing avatar says “Executed”.
I hope he did not impose a ban on himself!

howz about just,,,,

1...original value
2...appreciation in value of the same cue.(how much is the same new cue selling today compared to 1 year ago, 2,3,4,5,)
3...misc. ie,,,,death etc

i was thinking of things like wait time and cue condition, but those things can be dealt with based on 1, 2, and 3,,,or are built into the current pricing.

cuemakers and cue dealers will only supply a favorable pricing, imo.
cue collectors don't collect EVERYTHING, and some are more fervent collectors than others, and don't need this info.

who's the book for, anyway? i always thought the book was for the average joe seller and average joe buyer who have no clue of the price point. in which case, all they would need is 1, 2, and 3. i see the book more as a catalog or encyclopedia, though i'm sure the authors would like to think otherwise.

BTW, does anyone besides me play jiminy cricket's rendering of E-N-C-Y-C-L-O-P-E-D-I-A, in his mind when spelling encyclopedia. damn, i did it again. can't help it!,,,i always do it.
