How to make these bank shots

I've always shot as I posted with good results so I tried it with just center and no go BUT when I applied just a hair inside with center..Bingo. First try...No kiss and no scratch..Nice Bill

many that "dont go" can be made in exactly that way. horizontal center ball does alot for banks.....not that bill needs my two cents for proof lol but eddie explained as such to me as well, while teaching me some moves during his last bday party at side pockets in 04.

i know we say the "aim small miss small" its even more important in banking.

Sure. Center is your friend. I was taught that too moons ago. My thought was that with the angle being so shallow I didn't trust that the cue crossing over would pull the ball enough to put in on the right path to the pocket. So a wee bit of inside to help. I guess it could also depend on the balls and rail cloth maybe..

Any of these shots could sell out.
If hit too hard, the ball rebounds back to your opponents side if missed. Pocket speed is most important.
Practicing these ALOT increases your percentages.
#1 is super easy on tight pockets. 4 up 4 1/2 inches.
The closer the pocket gets to 5 inches, you have to throw the ball more, and it may not be available on certain tables.
This shot relies on proper cross over speed,
and a touch of follow to play the CB off the nose of the bottom rail.
If the pocket is too big, you can't miss the scratch by hitting the rail. So it doesn't exist there.

If you're comfortable with the kick bank adding inside English then that's great option on big pocket tables.
Tom Wirth encourages those shots allot on YouTube. Maybe check him out.

The other 2 shots are near identical imo.
Both are center ball shots; if that's my last ball, and no further
maneuvering is required. English to get around the table is the only reason I'd get fancy on those banks.
If those are end game shots, it's an easy call once you get more familiar with the game.
**#3 I may put a hair of running English depending on the cloth and rails.

I kick allot. So much so, that I've influenced some very talented players to rethink how they address certain shots now.
They'd say it's a low percentage shot in the past.
Where as now, after seeing me make aggressive shots regularly, kicking a ball cross corner on the bottom rail doesn't mean an auto sell out anymore.

Main thing is to just hit these shots dozens of times to develop the feel for them and establish some muscle memory.

Right right I think you misunderstood me......when I said center I didn’t meant dead center horizontally and vertically....dead center gets many done but just horizontal center and directly left and right of it (no draw no high) gets the rest of em done.

I was agreeing with your comment as to applying a little bit of left as well.

This brings up a good Passover bank skill......if that number 1 shot wasn’t so close to the corner pocket or I’d say the cb was under it in the corner next to it and you wanted to bank it in the side...... there’s a double kiss often just like the number one shot can have.....in particular set ups one can elevate the cues butt and just hit a “semi jump shot”.....it’s one of my favorite banks can get outa jail or put someone in that good ole ‘lectric chair lol

I think I was making these couple posts in a way over the fact many players can’t hit that horizontal center .....just like some struggle with tangent hits

And if you can....many more doors of shot making opportunity lie within hands reach.

I shot #3 and made it several times in a game the other night. As long as its
closer to the rail than it is the distance from the bottom you have a good chance at it.

Yeasterday I played a One Pocket session with my friend, and these shots comes around in each game. Due to your sugestions, I was able to handle them very well.
Thank you all.
