How to modify a gun drill?

Congrats Kidd. You have somehow insulted the more knowledgable poster on here and propped up the less experienced. The subtle difference is that now when you ask questions you will get the answers that you want and not the ones you need.

Good luck on your journey.

Jim.

no one taught me !!!!!

i did read the hightower book, bought a lathe and started making sawdust. building cues is not something that can be taught to some, no matter how much time is invested. and yes i can show you how i build cues in one week, you have to remember " this ain't rocket science ".
point being just because i show you how, that doesn't mean you can go home and start building cues. its a bit more complicated that that.
another example, my best fishing buddy for 40 plus years, never cleaned a fish, i cleaned them all. he was an extremely intelligent executive for time warner, making 2k a year. but with all his intelligence he could not clean fish. some people that have great book smarts, have very little common sense.
if you have a piece of material that is 1 inch and you need it to be 1/2 inch, a masters degree is not required to solve this problem.
AND TO ALL THE PEOPLE I HAVE OFFENDED !!!!!!!!

please forgive for all my sins

Hey Chuck,
Your Time Warner fishing friend may have hated cleaning fish and acted like it was too hard for him to do and got you to clean all the fish. My wife does that kind of stuff all the time. :)

Was he underpaid at only 2K a year? Isn't that only about $1 an hour?

i might have left out a couple zero's

chris on our fishing trips, i spent a lot of time getting his lures unhooked from the bank or a limb, he borrowed my boat and trailer, tore off one of the boat fenders, another time he was using my boat, broke the windshield, i dont know how many rods he broke, how many lures he lost. he was using one of my cues, the quarter slot got stuck, so he used the butt of the cue to jam the quarter slide, one hand about at the joint and one on the shaft, jam, jam, jam, then he said the cue " just came apart in the middle " better description he snapped the cue in half....

once again point being

a masters degree doesn't equal common sense

OK..I can't help myself. I have to say it. "Common sense is so uncommon" Now, I feel better!
