How to prevent Burn Mark on Felt during Break

they are not "burn" marks

The marks on pool tables are from the cue ball crushing the fibers of the cloth between itself and the slate.A break cloth will virtually eliminate marks from the "kitchen"area of a table,but there is nothing you can do about the area between the headstring and the headball other than brush briskly to loosen the fibers back up.
 
Normal break marks give a table character... I like mine.

Also, when they get excessive it's a good excuse to re-cover the table. I'm sittin' on 2 spare sets of tournament blue 860HR anyways.
