hey kelly, if i screw up one more thing!!!!! you can have mine ;) this is what happens when my shirt sleeve got caught on the knob when i walked by it. of course it had to go INTO the cue instead of away from it!!!!!!!!!!!

Could have been worse!

Your luck it was just the cue. If you are working around a lathe with loose clothing, you are taking a terrible chance. If that shirt sleeve had started wrapping aroung the cue instead of just catching on a knob, we'd be looking at pictures of your arm.:eek:

it was short sleeve shirt. i never wear long sleeves when working. thinking of working topless now!!! :rolleyes:

Just a thought as I was taking apart my saw machine earlier. While some people have sucess cutting shafts on lathes I've never been one of them. My new CNC lathe does a very good job but my saw machine is smoother and it only takes 3 min. per shaft. I'm going to use the lathe to cut any shafts that I might need in the next month or two but the saw machine is getting a CNC retrofit and will return to the shop for shaft duty again.
