How to remove water marks and stains from cloth

I recently got a stain on my Simonis 860HR cloth and used a standard cloth cleaner in a can to remove it, however it left a nasty water mark on the cloth. I thought I’d share how I removed it since I couldn’t find any useful info on the web besides use vinegar and good luck you’re screwed. So here’s how.

I first vacuumed the table to remove and chalk/dust.
Then I completely flooded the table with distilled water. Distilled is the trick as there are no minerals. I let the cloth get completely saturated evenly.concentrating on blending the water mark. Then I used a small wet vac (mine specifically was Bossel little green machine) without any of the chemicals you can add to the vac I vacuumed the table as evenly as I could until no more water was coming up, then wiped the table over with a micro fiber cloth he blend the vacuum lines.
Table is like new and I couldn’t be happier with dodging an unnecessary recover as cloth is less than a year old.

Hope this helps

Yes to distilled water. I own a Dupray Beat Steam Cleaner.. I only use distilled water in it and had a water stain in my headliner after a sunroof issue. The distilled water combined with the steam cleaner and a clean microfiber cloth did the trick.. So yep I agree with what you said and how it worked..

I've learned if you get the surrounding cloth damp, it all dries without spots. This is mostly wool, getting it wet isn't an issue. It will tighten up the bed cloth a bit and get fibers laying flatter too so helps keep the speed.

I give you credit for having the nerve to saturate your cloth with anything!
I assume you must have seen it done before

Be careful about getting water under the rails, you do not want that. Flooding is not a good idea if it gets under the rails... . Otherwise I have used reverse osmosis water heat it up and add a very little liquid Woolite to clean my table and was able to blend spots and clean it overall.. Works well.

Wow. Distilled water only. No soap, no brushing. Vacuum only. Sounds good.

Whatever the stain on your cloth, you are going to have a circular ring after you clean it. So, clean it again with water and CLEAN cloth towel. Let it dry and use a horsehair brush and brush and simply brush the ring out. It may take awhile but it will come out.
