How to send private message other member

On the menu, there's an envelope (it's just to the left of the bell). Click on the envelope and select start a new conversation.
 
Or, click on person's screen name. At, or toward, bottom of new window is a menu with "Start Conversation" option, Click it and go. Responses will appear in envelope referenced above.
