How to square up a gold crowns rails

So I’m trying to square up the rails on my gold crown. The manual says to use a carpenters square. I’m using a 2x3’ square. So I have the rails laid out and I’m putting a piece of one by under it to lift the square in the air. I have two sides pretty good I think. There’s one corner I can not get close. Do I need to put shim between the joint? It seems to square to the same spot after snugging the rails. I can’t find anything on the forum for squaring the rails up. You tube it looks like people match the corners up and tighten it. Then align the center pockets. Any help would be appreciated .

Won't do you any good to try and square them up because the rail bolt holes in the slate don't match up where they're suppose to be drilled, which prevents the ability to center the side pockets with the side pocket shelf. If you call me, I'll tell you how to fix your rail bolt holes, because I'm not going to explain the whole process by typing it out.

rather than using a square, try the 3-4-5 rule.

A right angle triangle with dimensions 3 feet x 4 feet will have a hypotenuse of 5 feet. you can use the increment you like , wont matter if you are using mm, inches meters or miles, 3-4-5 always stands true and it's as accurate as your measuring tools. Carpenter squares are only so long and they are often inaccurate. All you need is a tape measure and to understand the above rule. It will never change , so you have it for the rest of your life.

you can make it 6 feet , 8 feet and 10 feet, The exact same rule applies.

If you want the mathematical explanation, 3 squared plus 4 squared equals ( 9+16) = 25

5 squared is also 25!

The sum of the square of the two sides of a right angled triangle always equals the square of the hypotenuse. If you don't grasp the basic math ,no worries, Just remember 3-4-5
