How Would You Play This?

I wonder if he was playing ball first? I tried the kick several times with speed and just a center high hit on the CB. The rail first route never resulted in a shot on the 3. The ball first route did.

Turning the shot around to shoot straight at it, instead of kicking at it, but the CB on the kick line, playing it rail first I don't think would work. I guess that's the answer then. He was probably playing it ball first.

Sometimes I use gambling to see my best shot.....
....here's how it works.

If my opponent announced that he was going to kick at the 2-ball...
....I can ask him to raise the bet.
...if the 7/5 were some other place, I might be quiet.

If my opponent announced that he was going to bump the 2-ball to the 4-ball...
...and put whitey on the other long rail...
...I'm not going to raise the bet.

Sometimes it takes more heart to play the safety and fight it out.

ONB, who was the player and what did they do?

Leave the 2 by the 4. Its the only real sure way of getting back to the table. Kicking is reckless and far more likely to sell out than to make the ball AND not hook yourself.
