I missed this post the other day so I didn't comment yesterday but I was just watching rack 10 of the action challenge and here's Judes shot. Not exact but very, very close and what happens? Corey doesn't have ball in hand and the 7 is a little more towards the center of the table than we have diagrammed but the same lesson Jude intended to bring to our attention to is demonstrated perfectly. Corey sends the cue ball to high on the rail near the side pocket and I don't know if he put the outside on it or the cb just picked up some at contact but after the cb hits the rail it spins down just below straight in on the 8 and then he has to use high inside to try to come down for the 9 but the new cloth doesn't grab and he ends up scratching in the side. I've watched the whole match and this is one of the most costly errors of it. I know it's only rack 10 and 6-4 instead of 5-5 which seems minor but it sure didn't help.
