what does everone think of the qaulity on the new huebler cues, i'm looking at one right now and was just curious as to what you guys thought of the workmanship, hit etc.

Huebler makes good cues for the money. See this Google Groups search of rec.sport.billiard.
I cannot testify for the new cues, but I have a cue that was already used when I purchased it 23 years ago.

I own a Huebler that I had custom built about 7 years ago and I primarily use it as a break/backup stick right now. Nothing against it, it's just that I'm happier with the hit of my Falcon LE and it's more eye catching. I can tell you they hit on the "soft" side and I would be partial to the stainless steel sleeve over the wood to wood joint vs. his other joint styles. That's just personal preference though. I would also say (based on past experience) that the finishes I've seen on Hueblers have a tendancy to dull over time moreso than other cues I've used and in the past they would even develop a cracked look to the finish, but that may not be the case now. If you've hit with one and like the feel and you have a design that catches your eye I don't think you'd be disappointed. Just my 2 cents. Good luck with your selection.
Hueblers are OK. I have one. Sent it back for refinishing/reworking a while ago. Just for old times sake I guess since I had the cue since college. I wasn't impressed particularly with the work they did. The hit is fair. Hard, not that great really. If I had to buy an American made production cue sight unseen right now today it would be Joss or Schon. Huebler sneaky probably OK. My Huebler looks decent to me, but it has just never been my favorite. That opinion is a mix of subjective and objective.

I wouldn't recomend one at all. If you have an old one IMHO, it's far better than a newer model. I personally had a problem with 3 brand new cues. One cue I sold to a customer and on the second shot the cue broke in half. Right in the middle of the wrap. You could see that the wood under the wrap was rotten. Another cue sat in the display case for 6 months and the wrap just unraveled. The last cue was a SP, the first time I screwed the cue together and then unscrewed, it pulled the joint pin right out of the butt.
Talked to Paul and everything was fine" JUST SEND IT BACK" until I mentioned that since I have to pay to send it back to America for manufacture problems, I think it's fair he pay the shipping back to Europe. That's when Paul went off like a rocket and needless to say and it took over a year to resolve this.
I had to pay the shipping back to me, after fighting over, what was a manufacturing problem and what was customer abuse problem. What customer abuse!!!!!!!!!! The cues where brand new!
The real BS was, I was a dealer for Huebler, maybe the only one in Europe at that time. Needless to say I don't have anything to do with Huebler anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There has been many threads about bad experiences with cue makers and such and I have allways kept quite but this person specificantly asked about Huebler cues, so buyer beware.
