Hello AZers,

First would like to say that I am glad to join your community as it is the only place I found so many good information, advises and other useful stuff that I was looking.

Back to topic - at the moment I am living in Bangkok, Thailand and I never knew that I can find here bars where you can meet so many world know pool players.
Last week Mr. Huidje See was playing 10ball against Cocoy Villafuerte race to 20 and surprisingly Huidje was given 4 games to start... Maybe cause Cocoy is playing a lot in this bar and he is used to the table.
The game ended 20 - 16 and Cocoy won this race as Huidje made a lot of simple mistakes.

There was no stream and I forgot to make pictures to share with you ( sorry ). So for the next big matches like this I will try to make photos ar maybe will record the game to share with you guys.

I have information that The 2 time World Champion and 2013 player of the year Darren Appleton has confirmed he will be playing exclusively in Hustlers Bangkok from the 10th June until the 19th June.
He will play challenge matches against Cocoy Villafuerte and Stuart Pettman.

I will try to make pictures and videos of these matches to share and who knows maybe I will have a chance to play few games with Appleton himself :)

I played Cocoy last monday .
10-ball race to 9 and i got a 4-0 start , i won 9-6 .
2nd match no handicap and i lost 9-2 .
3th match i got a 2-0 start and i lost 9-4 .

First match i really played very well and Cocoy missed a few balls .
Second and third match there was no stopping him , he is damn good .

Yup, Hustlers definitely one of my favorite places to play anywhere.
Nice tables, friendly staff, lots of action, and a great group of players from all over the world.

Driven by a very friendly expat community. I will meet with many of the guys in Manila later this year for the AsiaExpatChallenge:grin:

Lucky guy.
I was at the Expat Challenge when it was held in Bangkok, like two years ago, I think.
What a blast, just a hilarious all-day drunken poolfest.

I watched the live stream from Jakarta last year, that kinda made me want to go.
Lucky me, I won a free ticket through a qualifier a few weeks ago :)

Efren went to Davao and lost to Cocoy last year. Then Django went down there and beat him. Cocoy is one of the top hustlers in the PI. Won't play guys like Lee Vann or Dennis though without weight.

Yes, Cocoy is a really great player. I hope he can make it to the US someday to compete.

Yeah the guy is so natural when he plays... Ill post results after he will play with Appleton on his visit in Bangkok :)

Not making an excuse for Huidje but he was not feeling well, jet lagged and did not want to play.
Cocoy is on fire at the moment, it will be interesting to see how he gets on against Darren, still think if Stuart, (Pettman) could sort his break out would be a match for Cocoy.

I guess this answers my question.

I remember a strong player in Davao named Villafuerte more than a decade ago. Good to see him still strong.

There's another real good youngster playing out of Cebu. I forget his name, but he is only 19 or 20. He beat Ronnie Alcano and Jeff De Luna when they went down there last year. You know this kid? Victor?

No I don't him. I could ask around though. Another good and up and coming young man in Davao City is Amadeo Natividad (JunJun), Plays good. Only about 17 years old. If he keeps at it, he should be really good.

Actually Cocoy is from Digos but regularly plays in Davao City. Looks like he is having a good time in Thailand!
