This is a very nice HC cue with two shafts. Asking $750, trades considered. Cue has one very tiny ding in forearm, shown in last picture, otherwise it is perfect condition.
Cue has been in storage, so I took it out for closer inspection. Butt may have slightest roll in it, will check on table tomorrow to be sure. Shafts appear nice and straight and are 13.1 mm and 13.2 mm.
Have decided to add a case with the cue. Cue will be shipped in a 1x2 Guiseppe case for added protection. Lots of interest in this cue. Looking for more offers. The weight of cue with either shaft is 19.3 oz.
Had the cue inspected by my local cue builder. He said the butt is near perfect for straighness, maybe 1/2 a credit card thickness variation and the shafts dead straight. Will reduce the cue price by $50 if you don't need the case.
I'm told that Sugartree and Hunter cues are made in the same shop. Can anyone verify that? Maybe I should be asking more for this one? The quality is obvious in the photos of this beauty.
Finally got to a table to roll the cue last night. Cue rolls dead straight with both shafts on a pool table. Hit a few balls and it plays very solid. Probably the original tips on cue. Cue is truly an amazing player.
If someone is looking for a great playing cue without all the bells and whistles, this is it! I have one of Wes' cues and it's one of the finest playing cues I've ever hit with.
Probably won't offer this one again for some time after Sunday. If interested contact me soon with offers. I will ship overseas. I just enjoyed playing with it too much the other night!
Thanks for the comment. I like the look of bacote but Comatilla is in a whole other class as far as beauty and rareness. Not a bad player either. Wes Hunter is a class craftsman. He remembered making the cue when asked about it, and was forthright with info. about all aspect of it's making.
