hurt your game?

The only thing that would hurt your game is professional wrestling. In fact, I would strongly recommend not participating in all fighting sports altogether.

If you are playing with the smaller balls I believe it will throw off your cut shots for a little bit but I doubt it will do anything else to damage your game.

It does make a 9 footer look like a barbox and all the snooker players seem to be excellent at potting on a 9 footer so I think the advantages outweigh any disadvantages. Probably don't want to play on a snooker table right before competition though.

Never hurt my game. I was always able to make the adjustment back and forth between the games pretty quick.

Wanna have some fun? Try playing 9 ball on a snooker table. A couple hours of that and when you switch back to a 9 footer, the pockets look like the Grand Canyon.

worked for me too

When I gambled nightly playing eight and nine ball I always warmed up for an hour or two every day on a snooker table. A running buddy started staying with me so one day I took him to the snooker table. He hated it of course. Then we hit the first place we usually went looking for small action. He got in a game. When he fired his first shot he looked up at me and grinned. Nothing like showing somebody what a snooker table will do for your game.

I don't know since I never tried it but playing golf exclusively for a few months would probably cause you to need some time to adjust when going back to nine ball. Playing golf even most of the time while continuing to shoot on the tables you play nine on too should make your game stronger, my game improved a ton while I played snooker daily.

There was a time when I was better than fifty percent on short banks on a snooker table and about fifty percent on long banks if I could get half the table or more between the legs to give enough angle to get in a pocket. I owned any other table I shot on regularly.

I don't think it hurts a lot. Steve Davis and Tony are very good example.

YES

about Snooker

IMHO, Golf will ruin your pool game
unless you are a full time player

I think playing any game on a snooker table will do wonders for your aim. The only drawback I have seen is that you can't use nearly as much english on a snooker table.

just my 2 cents

I agree. Golf is very big here in Utah. I have played it (I hate playing it too!) and found that it requires a much softer stroke. You end up lagging the ball most of the time with safeties and rolling banks. When rolling balls in on a 12' table for a few hours your stroke ends up feeling very weak once you switch back to a 9-ball on 9' table IMHO.

If the room is busy, I sometimes warm up right before 9-ball tournaments on a 6x12 and I really like the way a 9 footer looks right after that. For a real treat, try some one-pocket on the snooker table.
