Average performance. Nice feel but squirts more than I expected. Ferrule is extremely small (short) aka Pred Z. Intresting thing it's got a hollow core all the way down. The graphite spine does not feel unpleasing. Close your eyes and you'ld be hard placed to notice it's a "low squirt" shaft. Also a little skinny for my tastes. I'll keep my 314. I-2 now stays in my bag as a 3rd spare.

I have one, it has the original standard ferulle. It hits fairly stiff. And I get a little clunk when I come thru on my stroke. This shaft gives me a solid feel. And seems to move the cue around nicely.
The latest comes with the shorter ferulle. And the latest I-2 with the short ferulle has a little less deflection than the older one.
But I also have a 314 and would like to ask... does the newer shorter ferulle I-2 compare to the 314? In terms of deflection amounts?
I asked Shane at Platinum... which shaft they tested? And it was the standard ferulle. So we have no info about the performance of the latest

I Use The Short Ferrule I-2
I purchased an I-2 for my McDermott and when I first got it I wasn't sure I liked it......It hit quite a bit differently than the original shaft. After a week of shooting and making some adjustments, I decided I loved the way it hit. I got mine at shootersbilliards for $165.20, but it came directly from McDermott. I was even able to track my order with McDermott and sent the butt back so the I-2 could be custom fit....
Today I shoot with it like it's part of my arm. I do seem to get better control with it, and my english seems to take more readily.... I bought it at a time when my game was rapidly progressing, and I feel like it's an assett to my game.
