But it was just one ha ha. I played in the local Sunday afternoon tournament at Jim Bob's in Gulfport Sunday afternoon and the first match I had to play was Scotty. I haven't played pool in years and just started back bought a table and have been practicing everynightso I figured I would test myself in this small tournament. Well I certainaly got tested ha ha. I won the break and broke table has balls everywhere but came up dry. Scotty puts on a shooting exhibition that was a pleasure to watch. So it is loser breaks so I break again. Beutiful break balls every where but you guessed it I came up dry. Scotty again puts on a show. I break again. Balls everywhere came up dry. Scotty again puts on a show but gets alittle hard on the nine and leaves in frozen to the head rail about 1 1/2" diamonds over from the corner with the cue ball almost frozen on the other end. I step up and fire a bank into the corner. The crowd goes wild. Scotty breaks and runs out go figure. I break actually made a ball ran two shot a bad shot but got a decent leave Scotty calmly walks up kicks in the hidden ball and runs out. HA HA I had a blast. Scotty is really a class act we talked the whole time nver once did he act like he was better than anyone in the room although it was clear he was head and shoulders above the rest of the shooters there. Well I guess I will start working ont he break ha ha.

He made an awsome shot in the match following ours where he had the 1 and 3 about 2 inches apart in the corner pocket with the 2 ball at the other end of the table almost frozen on the rail. Well us mere mortals would probably have shot the combo and hoped for shapes on the 1 to get back on the 2 but as I watched him looking at the table and where he was looking I realized he was going to crossbank the 1 in the other corner and go the length of the table for the 2 and of course he made it look easy. The cue ball came off the rail and just drifted down to snuggle up behind the 2 ball as pretty as you please.

Scotty has been playing really great pool, of late.

You are just getting back into it- I'm sure you'll be wipin' the table with him in a few months!!

What's my point? Don't feel too bad!!

Ha Ha I don't think I will ever give Scotty a problem. It was a pleasure though watching someone play who knew how the game was supposed to be played. There was no wasted motion or "hard shapes" he just made the balls and the cue ball went where it was supposed to. Never shot hard unless he needed to. I can't say enough it was just fun to watch even if I was getting the crap beat out of me.

He probably doesn't play as good as everyone thinks...he never takes a hard shot!!

HA HA you got that right he didn't have to the dang cue ball accted like it was trained. I only saw him shoot 2 "hard" shots and he made both of them easily right in the heart of the pocket.

Yeah, Scotty is a character. He came down to a room where I use to play probally 8 years ago.He was looking for a little action, but did not get it there.sigep1967, where do you play at.I see you are from Anniston,I am not that far from Anniston.Take care all :D

PFD I play at home as there is not a decent pool room around here. There are a couple of places with bar boxes which I hate. I need to find some good players to play against to help my game. I am supposed to play Wed with a guy out in Ohatchee who has a Diamond pro like me. He is supposedly very good and travels to alot of tournaments. I hope to befriend him and start playing with the group of guys he has to his house to play all of the time. Is there anywhere to play down in Sylacauga? If I had the money I would open a good pool room as I think it would do well out in Oxford by the interstate but I certainly don't have the cash for that.

Man,there is no action here in Sylacauga.I've been having to go to Montgomery to play. There are a couple of good spots in Montgomery where there are plenty of action. The place I go only has Diamond tables. They have 4 9 footers and probally about 12 7 footers. One of the big tables is triple shimmed, talk about being a tough table, lol.I've been wanting to start a pool room here in Sylacauga. There are plenty of players here.Well, take care and hopfully you will get your game back on track.

Maybe we can get together some time for some friendly games. I am not going to travel far to play as I have 2 small girls that have stuff going on all the time. I just enjoy playing anybody win or lose although I hate to lose ha ha. Oh well maybe some rich person will come along and see the need for a good room here in town.

Maybe we can get together sometime.I no a couple of people with the money to start a pool room here.I've just about begged them to invest here, but to no avail.take care :D

Well having the money to start a tables only small room is one thing but if you really want to make any money you need a resturant with good food and a full bar. The tables really don't make much money for you it is the food and drink that the profit comes from.

Next time you go down there you tell Wai, Aaron, Porkchop and Flip
that I am soon to come home from Cali for a visit and plan on them paying for it ;)
Is Bill not still around Sylacauga? I think his last name was Wright or Lee.
Cant remember which one moved up there. Good player

I know everyone you just mentioned. You have to be talking about Willy Wright a.k.a Bill Wright,He is a very good player but.a soar loser.I see Aaron all the time in Montgomery at the Break room.Wai playes at Bumpers in Mongomery and so does Chop.I havent seen Willy Wright in about 3 years though.I heard that he got into some trouble with the law,but I don't no.You from around here,I new a guy named Frank that use to come down to Alexander Ctiy at Sharp Shooters and do a little side bettin. As a matter of fact he bought a cue off of me,said he was moving to Cali.Could that be you?Anyway, take care all

Unless by weird luck theres another fat guy named Frank that used to
come up to Alex City from Auburn then its me.
Not sure I can place you as I have bought many a cue. I used to go there
about 10+ years ago when Larry Parry was there and then I have been
back up some the last few years before I moved to SoCal.
Bill wright played pretty good if I remember right.
Right before I left for here I went up to Alex City and played in one of those
Saturday night tourneys. I always had a good time up there. Good people and action playing and betting on the side.
Hold down Central Al for me
