It seems like eBay is the best most reliable place to sell a cue these days. I see the same cues revolve over and over here (mine sometimes too) But if you offer something even close to a fair deal on eBay it sells. The best part is most of the cues on eBay are so over priced that there is not much competition for a reasonable deal. I wonder if most of the people here just have more cues than than they want or need and are mostly sellers without many buyers anymore?

Pricing of cues is all over the map in the last year or two. I prefer face to face sales. They take longer but way less drama and tire kickers.

Each market has pros and cons IMHO.

I don't do Facebook, just because I don't like Facebook. Nothing to do with cues or cue sales.

I watch Ebay constantly, and I watch here. I watch Craigslist, Buya, Goodwill and others.

It costs nothing to list here, as well as numerous other markets.

Ebay provides numerous tools, as well as protections for buyers and sellers. I don't want to argue those pros and cons so I'll just say those protections exist. It's a "real" marketplace so if you are generating revenue beyond a threshold, it's going to be reported to the IRS. Some people don't like that.

Ebay also reaches a very large market.

A lot of stuff on Ebay is overpriced, but there are still bargains to be had.

I mostly buy, I don't sell much. When I do sell it is most frequently among people I know, often from here, but also locally. And when I sell or trade I am not generally trying to suck the most value out of a cue, it's mostly a friendly thing and I will pass on a good value to a friend.

Each market is what it is, I don't let it bother me.

Biggest problem with Ebay and buying cues....shill bidders and bidding programs. Driving prices artificially higher.

I have had no problem selling my Schrager collection on FB with no drama... priced fairly, move quickly....
Which group do you recommend for a 1970’s Schrager please. Did you consider eBay and how to protect yourself on FB aside from the usual due diligence

On facebook you meet them in person and take the cash. Give them a bill of sale. If they throw a fit later you deal with it. No different than selling something in the newspaper years ago.

Ebay normally sides with the buyer so you basically have to try your luck. Might have a good experience, might have a nit leave you negative feedback and destroy your rating and chance to sell in the future.

Price on ebay about 60% of new and if in excellent condition it will sell
