I have been trying to come up with a name/logo for my cues. As I was writing a PM to Mystick Cue Fan. It hit me. I am such an idiot that I had not noticed this before. My initials are the perfect name/logo.

Now the question.

How do I go about putting my name into the but cap? I have Chris' inlay machine but no Cnc machine.

I have seen this done, just not sure of the type of paper and or ink used

Design what you want on a computer, then print that in reverse, place on cue and rub . The ink will remain on the cue, then clear over with your finish
 
Chris has a template of letters. You can cut the letters into the buttcap and fill them with colored epoxy. There are several differant colors that can be added to epoxy. This is the way that I do mine. It is very neat, no ink to fade or run, and no differance in size to cover with finish like using vynal letters.

I don't know for sure, so you might want to check, but doesn't Bryan Mordt use BEM?

A couple drops of epoxy pigment paste should get you the color you want. I just use a toothpick to get a little of the pigment out of the jar and mix it into the epoxy. You can also mix different colors to make almost any color you like.

I have had my pigments for a long time, so I am not sure where I ordered them from. Here is a place on the web you can find the same ones I use:

Yes but if you use "BEM" you will only be able to make Bird's Eye Maple Cues. :)

Get me to make you a logo which you can cut into the butt with my inlay machine. Should cost about $75.
 
I think Chris Hightower and atlas both sell the black and white powder to add to epoxy. Other color paste can be found at woodworking stores like Woodcraft.
