I broke my break record.

Something happened the other day that I needed to share. I was playing 8-ball against the son of a friend of mine, the kid is about 7. He was racking the balls for me like a normal 7-year old, very very badly. There couldn't have been more than three balls touching eachother in the whole rack. He also stayed at the rack area, so I took it a bit easy on the break to make sure the white didn't jump of the table and hit him in he head.

I then potted 6 balls of the break. My previous best was 5. Out of all the racks I broke, must have been 25,000 or so, this is the one where I pot 6. I pride myself on always delivering a "good" rack for my oppenent, and off course for myself when I practice. This though makes me wonder, someone else please tell me they agree this was the fluke of the decade for me, otherwise I might aswell chuck out all those hard triangles and just use the rubbery ones and spend about two seconds racking.

Dave,
You should smack that little kid up side of the head for slug racking you. You probably would have made 10 or 12 balls if that little weasel hadn't tried to cheat you.

LOL, nice. Sounds like a fluke to me. Just curious, what happened to the other 9 balls that didn't go in? Did they pretty much stay in a cluster as would be expected, or did they actually break apart too?

I've always told my friends(only my friends) when they give me a loose rack that it's too thier advantage to give a tight rack everytime. A loose rack is easy to exploit, especially when it's just the head ball that's loose.

I love it when I get a rack where my opponent has left the head ball loose, it gives me a more full shot on the second ball.

They all broke nice. I had a very easy runout, but well my oppenent was 7 so I missed.
