Hi all — I'm a retired engineer and billiards player, and I've built a training tool I'd like to share. Completely free, no account, runs right in the browser on desktop or tablet.

It's called CaromSim:

  • Aim-prediction lines that show the ball paths before you shoot (spin, cushions, slide/roll phases)
  • A physics-based AI opponent — play matches in Carambole (free / 3-cushion) or Danish pin billiards (Dansk Kägel)
  • Save, print and share your own drill setups
  • Bilingual (English / Swedish)
The physics is based on Han (2005) and Alciatore. I made it as a teaching tool for my club and would love feedback — does the cushion and spin behaviour feel realistic, what's missing, what would help you practice?

The game/simulator Virtual Pool includes a carom mode. The physics is pretty realistic. You may want to compare shots between your simulator and VP.

One thing I noticed immediately in your diagram is that the paths of the balls appear to be straight. Balls do not travel in straight lines.

Several other carom simulators exist, with at least two of them posted about here.
