Note:I will not say any names out of respect for these individuals,I will refer to these people as player A,player B,and player C
Here's the deal:
several months ago, player A(who i've known for several years, and considered as my friend) calls me up out of the blue and ask me for the line on player B(who i also know very well)without a second thought i told player A exactly how player B plays and almost immediately, player B tells me that another player, who we'll call player C(who i don't know personally but heard he goes off) is the guy that needed the line on player B.Well,i did'nt think anything of it .and began talking about player A's newborn child and that was the end of it,or so I thought.
As fate would have it,about two weeks later,I hear rumors floating around that player B is upset with me for knocking his action..oh yeah,it was the talk of the pool room about how Tony knocked player B's action.Come to find out player A did indeed give the line on player B to player C.Long story short, player B plays about two balls better than the reported line from player A to player C(not what i told player A,obviously player A wanted to chop up player C) Another week past,I finally spoke to player B and he told me that he and player C could not match up because of the confusion about how he played(someone apparently told player C that player B's game was much better than he was told) And of course B wanted to play C because word is C had deep pockets and would go off like a rocket in space. And he blames me for it all!!!Now he thinks of me as a "knocker"
That's the thanks I get.I called myself just helping a friend(player A) with a little info.I'm not a pool detective or a steer .If I was in on the trap, I would have made sure the game went off, that C's line on B by A(which I gave) would have been the only one that mattered, and I would have gotten paid!
Never again .If anyone ever wants to know how somebody plays in here, don't ask me.I've learned my lesson!
