Yea i just got an Awesome Lucasi Jump Cue Cuz my moddified wallmart jumper wasnt working out but...i dont know how to use it i know the basics on jumping but i dont know anything about using a jump cue any help would help thanks

DC:confused:

Hold it in your hand and tap the tip with a quarter. Does it make a metal/glassy sound, or does it sound like your shooting cue?

I mention this because, IMO, there's a difference to jumping using the 2 different kinds of tips.
With phenolic anyone can virtually pick up a cue and jump. Leather takes a bit more practice.

im uploading a vid to Youtube right now when its watchable ill post a link

it does look like leather, i noticed it says eric yows name on it was it his cue before? if so why not ask him. and if it was his cue before ive seen him use one in a video and it sounded like a phenolic tip. now as for your question there are a couple of ways to hold the cue 1st is jacked up using a pendulum stroke second is to reverse your forearm using a dart stroke

Lucasi's signature quality, craftmanship and superior hit has made it the number one selling custom cue on the market. Lucasi cues are built with performance enhancing features chosen by custom cue makers. Features Include:

Extra Hard Special Composite Tip
Extra Light Butt that makes the ball jump further and easier
15" Pro Taper
Ivorine III Ferrules
Triangle Tips
100% North American Hard Rock Maple Shafts
Super High-Gloss Finish

This is what it says about my cue? so can anyone help me learn how to use it? i dont even know if im suppose to chalk it cuz when i try it doesnt chalk very good and i dont wanna screw it up

Yes you do need to chalk the composite tip. Composite and phenolic tips do not take chalk as well as a normal leather playing tip, so must chalk carefully.

I can tell you from personal experience, that if you are just started jumping, there will be times when you feel like an idiot, regardless of your awesome equipment.

Thank you very much for your post it has helped me alot lol believe it or not i can jump from one ball away consistantly now i gotta get aiming down and then i can progress to less than a ball and eventually be jumpin em like yow and other awesome ppl
