I was at a Moose Tournament this weekend...which our team did really well i might add

I was talking over cues with a guy and brought up older cues ...he brought up Balabuskas... I told him that they were the Cadilacs of pool cues...but now they are made as reproductions with the family allowing them to use the family name on the cue.

I ended up doing some research on the cue and laughed when i went to this web site.

You can mouse over the cue and look it over ...it has a 600+ dollar price tag but valued at 800.. when i went to the bottom and saw the stickers on the cue of the weight and series..i kinda lauged..if i was paying that much for a cue i would not want a sticker any where on it near it or by it..dont most cue makers use price tags on the joint..

I believe that Viking still puts stickers on their cues. Not sure of other production cues.

I bought a 1983 Viking cue from Showcase billiards in Denver this was purchased about 1995. It was new but never sold in 12 years and a gorgeous 3 point cue with a perfect leather wrap. It had a sticker on it with the cue number and the weight. I went to peel the sticker off and it had bonded with the finish. I had to refinish just the butt cap area and still have the sticker

Price tags? Sometimes. Price stickers on the butt sleeve is a common practice from the high end cues.
