I got hit in the face by Jayson Shaw's balls

I am editing my original post because I know now that I was wrong about what I said in my original post (thinking that Earl was an honest and honorable player, and thinking that Jayson was wrong about the way he acted). So I take back what I originally said. I see that Jayson had a very good reason to be so angry about the final call by the ref in charge.

Earl should have been honest, and admitted that he called the wrong ball (not the ball that he was aiming at and made). It is so hard to believe that Earl made that mistake though (not just once, but twice in that match).

Jayson did not throw the cue ball either (he just just tossed it hard enough to make a ball come off of the table, and it was a level toss, not a throw, and I do not think that he even picked the cue ball up, off of the table).

Wow...I think on about 3 or 4 occasions since I've played BCA 8 ball league I've had an opponent call the wrong ball...
I remember not to long ago my opponent called the 12 ball, which was hanging in the bottom left hand corner, which was really the 10 ball...Since the 12 ball was up the other side of the table I knew he made a mistake. I knew he meant the 10...I never said anything because i knew what he meant...He just mis spoke the wrong ball...It was obvious he meant the 10...
I don't want to be so chicken s..t to try and win that way...If both balls had been close to each other it might of been different but they were 5 feet apart...
I don't know what the big deal is about this...Neither did the ref....
