I guess the new CueTec is more than just a CF butt...

my invention is a laser light that only the shooter can see with special glasses that puts him in the exact spot every time on the cue ball aligned up.

but i think dr. dave has that already as he never misses a shot in his videos.
and bob uses it to beat all those south american 3 cushion players in milpitas.

Yea. The shaft is on the left and butt on the right.

It's quite confusing how they presented the diagram.

I think that's the same Acueweight system Cuetec has had for a while. The pictures are of each end of a butt: a plastic spacer and weight in one picture and the joint end in the other picture. You can adjust where the weight is along butt using the spacers. I figure if you want an 18 ounce cue? This is all a waste since you would have no weights to place along butt.

Looks to be a weight system where you can adjust balance. Similar to what Mezz has right now
The Mezz may be better since it can place weights in butt and in the forearm.

As far as the post's title, I don't think these are carbon fiber butts---they are fiberglass butts.

Very common in five pin cues, for example

But I can't tell if it's a gimmick in pool cues before trying.
I translated and read all that. just more sales gimmick bs. all i see is crap to come loose and rattle over time. i've never felt the need/desire to actively move the bp of a cue. some people just like gizmos/gimmicks. this stuff is aimed squarely at them.

OK. I’m wrong. This is not an advertisement about the old Avid chroma cues.

It is not fiberglass. It is carbon fiber

It is not a weight system Acueweight for its Avid chroma cues. Its a weight system for its new Cynergy X cues.

Here is what Cuetec wrote in a PoolDawg email I got about its Cuetec’s Cynergy X Cues

Zero Wood. Zero Compromise. 100% Cuetec.

Engineered with layers of aerospace grade 15k carbon fiber, the new Cynergy X Carbon Fiber Cues from Cuetec offer unrivaled stiffness and energy transfer for effortless power, control, & consistency.

See Cuetec and PoolDawg for some info:

Are they publishing studies to validate their claims?

Should I cancel the Tasc and get this?
Absolutely ... you'll never know how much you miss then Tasc until you do not get one. I sold my Bimmer for a Volks. Why drink Champagne when you can drink cheap wine. Be the first on your block to go backwards😂

Interesting they are doing a variable balance system. McDermott has had that for 5 years or so. Would love to see a full "how to" video on the cuetec eventually.

I'd like to see demonstrations of the efficacy of the adjustments.
Its likely an issue of personal preference. It could also allow one to have a heavier cue by having weight nearer forearm rather than having that weight near bumper where it would make the cue feel too heavy.

Understood. I just want to see a new Dr. Dave debunking.
