As soon as I left Joey's house, I found a place to shoot and try it out for half an hour. I adjusted to it really quickly because I felt so comfortable with it.
Today, I went to Louie Ochoa's to talk about his website (which I've been putting together for the past two weeks) www.osarah.com
We worked on it for a little bit and he showed me some of the cues he was working on. One of his cues will be in my collection as soon as I get a job.
After that, I went to Hollywood Billiards and met Charlie who showed me his Paul Mottey. That cue had the best veneers that I have ever seen.
Then Charlie pointed across the room and asked me if I knew who was standing waaaaaaaaaaay at the other end of the room. I said no and he told me that it was Ernie Gutierrez. Charlie took me over to Ernie and introduced me. Then I saw the Ginacue he made for himself up close....GEEZE!!!!! The silver on that thing was so polished that I thought he had mirrors inlaid into his cue. The elephant ear wrap felt really good too. It was the most exotic cue I have ever held.
After all this...I fell like I'm ready to build my own cue.
Now who wants to donate an extra lathe?
