Ok so I've been playing seriously now for a few months and I finally had my big breakthrough last night. Well, it started on Thursday in league. I had ball in hand and I chose to play position for the next shot by spinning the cue instead of giving myself the angle to play natural shape and after the game one of my teammates pointed it out to me. He explained that it's best to play natural shape when possible. So yesterday I really focused on this and what do you know I'm playing shape damn near perfect and I'm making almost all of my shots, shots are alot easier when you played good position. It's like I have easy shot after easy shot now. I woke up this morning and ran 3 racks back to back, first time ever, just because I am trying to play natural shape. I feel great about where my game is going now and I was so excited I had to share.
On another note I have loosened my grip up alot and it's made a big difference in my accuracy. I now let my pinky hang and I swear I am shooting straighter then ever. My mom recommended this as it's the way my dad held his cue and she was right on.
Thanks for reading, enjoy your 4th!
