in an attempt to fix my tip that got mushroomed, I wanted to use this tool to remove the edges but was scared to touch the ferrule, so I got a normal tape from the house to mask the ferrule so that I don't touch it, and after fixing the tip, I removed the tape and my ferrule had glue all over it :( the glue is the kind of when you tape something then remove it, you feel the glue by touch as if you put your finger the try to remove it, it grabs your finger a little bit, if you know what I mean. sorry for my bad English.

What can I do now to fix this, is there a easy way, what happened is fresh, I just did it now, the quicker the answer is I think the better, please help

Isopropyl alchol, Methyl alcohol, Acetone (finger nail polish remover), GooGone.
Any of these will help you. Just be careful around the finish of the cue with acetone.
Good luck,

Wow thanks guys it seem to help, I rub it twice now with alcohol chifaz privilege and it seem to work, now ill wait till it dries then ill rub it once more and see the result

Mineral spirits removes gum from tape.

Been using mineral spirits for years with no problems. As a second option, a little WD-40 on a paper towel does pretty good as well. Just be sure to work fast so there is no time for the chemical to react with the finish, and rinse the excess off with a wet paper towel, the wipe it dry. Stay clear of Acetone for anything with a finish and soft plastics such as ferrules or ring work. Acetone is good for removing super glue off of stuff though. I tend to get it on my hands a lot, and it takes it right off, but I wash with soap and water immediately afterwards. It's also good to soak my super glue nozzels in when they start to clog up. An overnight soak cleans them right up.

+1 on avoiding acetone if possible. I'd start with alcohol, which should probably be all you need....

Lacquer thinner can also harm plastics.....I know this from working at a body shop and using a bit to "clean" some tail lights......bad idea.
