I had the pleasure of meeting Tom who is the designer of this really cool line of pool fashion.

Tom is from Italy. He is very stylish, and his design is bold, creative, and tasteful. His brand is called Play-Pool.

I tried his polo shirts, they are all made in Italy, with a very special material, which allows the player to breath even during a long section, so the shirt does not get sweaty or sticky.

I have nothing to do with his business(except that I may buy some items from him in the future), but I really just want to recommend it to everyone out there looking for something bold, creative, and high quality.

I believe Alex Lely is their official representative now. Congratulation!

Here is Tom with Fabio. Tom is wearing his own design.

That is probably the first "pool" clothes i have seen which is actually cool looking, so much of the other types of clothes just makes you look like an idiot. But the price was not so right, quite expensive but still i think im going to order one or two......:D

His site is really slow, taking forever to load the pictures. I havnt seen a single item yet.

I must say, I really do like that Hooded Sweatshirt.

Clothing ....

I thought they were excessively expensive, and I DO NOT like the 'bowling shirt look' for Pool shirts.

I used to live in europe and I do like the style... especially of the jacket. But its gonna have to be a christmas present for me cus I don't buy clothes very often as it is, and the price has to be right.

Hello,
I love the polo shirts- very nice indeed. I agree that they're not particularly cheap but they are made in Italy (so nice to see a company produce something in the country in which it's based these days) so I can understand that. Plus the special material is obviously going to add to the cost.

One's going on my Christmas list anyway!

By the way don't forget that when the line was discussed here before all AZbers were offered a 15% discount if they bought anything. Tom posts here (his username is tom) so just PM him if you're interested.
See the first post here for details:

First off brother, nice job getting all of the X-Breaker logo in on that picture. I love it. LOL

Neat looking stuff! Actually they are very pricey. However, the coolest thing I saw on that site, was the DaVinci Code representation with the Girl's shirt. LMAO!!!! That just cracked me up!

Pretty cool! I like the hats, and they are right in line with other prices of caps.
But those shirts, I am going to have to wait until my Home Equity line of credit comes in.

I have expressed the price concern to Mr. Tomati, who is the person in red next to Fabio. He was very open minded and he told me the price is high, but the profit is low, because of the fact that the clothings are all made in Italy.

Italy is known for its top notch fashion, but they are never cheap.

Mr. Tomati told me they are looking at adjusting the price, to meet the needs of the US market.

This is a new venture, and I am sure they need more time to figure out lots of issues. I still think they are on the right track, and I REALLY like the design.

Like a poster said, these are actually cool looking cloths, that even a non pool player would wear.

Anyway, I cannot really speak for them about the price or anything like that because I am not involved. I just want to let all the Azers see this new line, to know that they have new options.

I like to see pool clothings being marketed to our main stream market, which would be a very good thing for pool. I see potential in "play-pool" to achieve that. That is why I recommend it.

Thank you.

Richard

And he has another official representative. ;) :D

I love his Euro-fitted designs and craftsmanship and he is doing a new line just for us ladies. Well worth the price tag.

Tom's real name is Francesco and is a great guy. He plays pool too!

Wow, even if I don't post a lot I try to keep myself updated on this board and... I missed this thread! ;)

Thanks Richard for the kind words, it was a real pleasure to meet you in person and, most of all... to play some racks with your beautiful Southwest! lol

Thanks all for the good comments, and also for the bad but constructive ones ;) We'll try to adjust our work to fulfill people's and, most of all, poolplayers' needs.

I know our products are now a little bit pricey for the American market. Our company is still very young, and actually we didn't expect to have such a good answer out of Europe so early.
Our prices depend on the cost of textile manifacture here in Italy, and they are now in line with the European market. We understand that American customers have different needs, and we're working in these days to conform our prices and products for a Worldwide distribution, keeping the same quality we have now.

I'd like to thank Mrs. rackmsuckr, who knows pretty well our line ;) , for the kind words and for being always so nice to me.

One more thing, to be correct. Alex is not (maybe yet) our official representative. He likes our products and wears them in tournament (last Eurotour Event in Switzerland) and in daily life. If we'll be able to customize a line for him to wear in tournaments, we'll be proud to have him as our player rep.

grisbe, I agree with you. That was the first thing I thought when I first saw the picture on the X-Breaker website. Fabio and I were walking outside to have a cigarette and we stopped by Richard's booth just to say hi. That's when our "paparazzo" ;) shoot the pic and caught us in flagrant. We're guilty. :)

Tom, you sound like a nice guy and a responsible businessman. Hopefully we'll meet in person. I'd love to see your whole line of clothing.

If you know Tom personally, you will agree that he is educated, charismatic, polite, and just a real class act over all. Personally speaking, I wish we had more pool players like him.

I am not a smoker, and I do not endorse smoking. Having said that, I also do not judge others for doing so, and I would never judge a person or a group of people based on the smoking fact alone.

I see where the comment is coming from, and I would like to apologize if I had put Tom in an uncomfortable situation and to those that were offended with the picture. (Now Tom, quit smoking...:) )

I really like this fashion line, I have felt them, wore them, and I can attest to their high quality. Most importantly, their creativity and sense of humor. I have met Tom and his partner personally, and all I can say is that they are very nice people. It is very difficult not to like them. That is why I started this thread.

I like the designs but 35 dollars for a t-shirt!! 50-75 dollars for a polo style shirt??? Are they serious?!
