Hey AZ! Let's have some fun!
Have you ever been hanging out at your pool hall - watching (or playing in) a game where a guy DOGS THE SHOT, and then comes to you with the B.S. excuse WHY he missed?... Well, now you can share these memorable phrazes with people who care to hear them just as much as you did when he/she said it to you!

I'll start...


"I missed the shot because.. I play way better than this guy.. I don't want him to see my real speed"

ahh.. my favorite excue i hear people use...

Person that missed--> Oh its no big deal.. i dont really care about this game anyways...I wasnt really trying....

it really erks me when i hear that.. because i want to just shout then pay your money and quit it you dont care..lol..

Because I am trying to keep my handicap low.........Oh wait, that might actually be legit.
 
This isn't an excuse, but kind of along these lines..
I don't really know why it erks me so much, but I hate to see a person miss a shot, and it's not really a gimme to beat them, and they throw a little fit, and take their cue apart.
If I see this I just sit back down, lol. And when they ask,, aren't you going to shoot?? I say,, I thought you forfeted.
Just a thought.
 
I like it when someone misses a cut shot and says "Man, I overcut that ball!" Like somehow overcuting the ball isn't as bad of a miss. A miss is a miss period.

I also like "Man, I hit that ball too good." If you hit it too good you wouldn't have missed in the first place.
 
i am not usually one to make excuses, but the other day i did miss a shot and i truly believe it was because i was still sore from the P.R.S. earlier in the week.

it was one of those shots where you have to lean over the corner pocket and reach, and i could feel the corner of the table rubbing up against me. that was enough to distract me since i was still on the mend from the surgery.

the table has a bad roll from the warped 1'' slate or the cloth is so worn the ball keeps following the wrong path.

I missed becasue my Mind was Wondering, and i was Talking and not in 110% MODE....:p
