Buying a repair lather from Hightower soon, will be needing a set of calipers, thought I'd see if anyone has a used one they'd like to part with. Will need to be mailed to a APO military address, USPS flat rate box should work. The only real question is, do I need a 12 inch or can I get by with a 6" and use it for cue making when I pick up my Deluxe when I get back to the states. Please give me a few days to respond, getting to a decent internet connection can be difficult at times. Thanks!

Charles

6 inch calipers are fine, personally I use 4 inch digital calipers.

Thanks,
Alan

Yah, I'm looking at a nice Starrett electronic version. I've used one in the past, found it to be a lot easier when needing to convert between millimeters and inches. To me, it seems strange that we measure the cue at the ferrule in millimeters, the joint in inches etc. : )) Figured I'd try to save a buck or two and maybe help out a fellow AZ'er. Cheers!

Also amazon.com. I have a few sets. Get one with a wheel tho. I have a 4". from horror fright (harbor freight) and it's works but with no wheel I find myself screwing around too long to get perfect sizes. I only got them for cheapies to keep in my case for ppl asking at the pool room

Looks like JimBob might be getting my offer. Ebay doesn't like to send to APO addresses, a lot of websites don't allow a selection for AE in the states column. Usually only the 50 states are available. Cue Makers, please take note of that when building a website, if you want to support U.S. Servicemen. They're an untapped resource imo. Amazon is my usual choice for buying stuff and sending it here. JimBob, sent you an email. Looking forward to your pictures. Thanks guys!

I bought a nice digital Starrett 6" set with a case off of Ebay for $56 incl shipping a few weeks ago. Just keep an eye on Ebay you'll find a deal

My thanks goes out to Jim for kindly going out of his way to send me his slide calipers. Thanks Jim!

Cheers!
