Can anyone tell me how to get chalk stains out of my shaft without having to use any cue cleaning products, are there any other remedies out there that work just as well.

Please help.

I wipe my shaft down with a damp paper towel after I play. That pretty much takes care of the problem. I also have a lathe and clean them with some shaft cleaner I purchased from Chris Hightower a few years back.

Mr. Clean's Magic Eraser with denatured alcohol.

Dampen a cloth with rubbing alcohol and wipe shaft. Repeat as many time as needed. Do NOT soak cloth or shaft with alcohol. Just clean the surface. It works for me. Give it a try before you spend bucks.

Amazing!! Tried it for the first time a few minutes ago. My shafts look brand new.

As far as cost - (2) Magic Eraser pads + Alcohol = $4.69 (including tax)

Thanks

Either use Mr. Clean Magic Eraser or send it to a Cuesmith and they will clean on a lathe (abrasives) and re-seal.
