Something that I am curious of is what APA market are you in? The reason I ask is because you are a 7 in 8 ball (congrats), with 0 break and runs, and such a low defensive average. Do the people you usually play against in league just lay down and die? Or is there a leaguewide problem recording defenses? Something doesn't seem right.

Well to be honest I rarely shoot defense. Im am almost 100% offensive. Even if I have to bank something 2 rails I'M GOING FOR IT!! However, I have learned that I need to employ more defense. So I'm working on it. Also, I probably had about 5-8 instances in which I broke and ran down to the money ball and missed!

You didn't answer any of my questions. I have 6 break and runs from last session in 14 matches. And my defense is higher. And the thing is, I rarely play defense. Something doesn't add up in your local APA.

People in my league very rarely even mark them. It pisses me off a little bit, because I do play safeties well and I always call them. No idea what to do about that. Just can't trust people to be honest..., and they never mark their own people.

What kind of tables do you play on? Here we play on really tight 8 footers and our league has a lot less break and runs then people playing on valleys in our area. If I played 8 or 9 ball on valleys as a 7 I feel like I would have at least one b&r a night.

(The one 9 ball win I have in 2017 is given here. Once again NO RUNOUTS. But I played half decent I think. Hope you guys can see the scorecard clearly.)

I hope my numbers can be seen clearly guys. I'm going to try for more Run Outs this season!

I can't remember the last time I have seen a match between a 7 & 8 with zero safeties. If you are averaging 2.3 innings you might want to put safety play at the top of your list.

@Shenanigans
I agree. I need to play safe more often. I'm going to make a good attempt to tone done my offensive nature!!

I was kinda thinking the same thing. He's listed SL8 in 9ball and out of 13 matches no break and runs?

Is that accurate or are they not being recorded?

How can you be an SL7 and SL8 or 9 and not have any break and runs?????

What does 8 ball rackless mean??? That someone forgot to put the 8 in the rack?????
I have never seen an APA stat or score sheet before.

@fastone371

Well that's how it looks and those are my stats. If you look on the 9ball score sheet. You will see I had 11 then I had 19. Well in 9ball everyball is worth 1 point but the 9 ball is worth 2 points. 10 total potential points. So I had 11 going in and ended up with 19. Which means I got 8 points. I ran the table but missed the 9ball. The other player made the 9. So I got 8 points for the 8balls and opponent got 2points for sinking the 9 and that makes the total of 10 points that rack.

Thanks for that ground breaking explanation

Fast and Loose

I have seen bar box leagues that are like that with the safes but usually there are tons of break and runs. We play on tight 8 footers or I feel I would average at least one per match and we are similar ranks.

Spot

I'd rather give you that than the stupid APA spot in 9. In eight, were dead even in their eyes.
