Having just lost my mom recently due to her smoking for 50 years, I disagree - the crappy years on the end are still there - you just lose some of the not-great-but-not-overly-crappy years before the crappy years. :(

And here's three snaps in the Z-formation to Colorado's state-wide smoking ban, which takes effect TOMORROW! No more coming home from a tournament smelling like an ashtray for me! :D :D :D

Yea, well Budwieser and In-N-Out Burger should be chipping in at any moment then too.:D

Is there an In-N-Out burger in Kingman now? That'll make the drive to ABQ a whole lot better next time.

As much as I miss the pool scene there, I do not miss coming home smelling like smoke. Living in CA, I miss the smokers, but not the smoke.

Cheers,

Rude Dude, I think Marlboro is actually Big Brother.... don't you find it odd that they sent you, a pool player, your very own chalk holder and then just the other day, as an early b-day gift, they sent me, the beer drinker, my very own bottle opener!!

I guess they don't know everything because if they did, they would know that my beer has screw off tops. :D

Seriously... it is pretty cool... it's silver with some red mixed in and it's the size of a credit card so it fits easily into your wallet.

Yup, right off the 40 at Stockton Hill Rd. Just opened about 2 weeks ago, or 14 double-doubles ago, depends on what time zone you're in.

I apologize and so sorry to hear about your Mom.
I'm sorry!

No apology necessary. I didn't take offense or anything - just wanted to clear up how I felt on the matter. :)

And thanks for the wishes.

That's not exactly true. I watched my mother die a death consisting of 7 years of torture I would not wish on anybody, she died at 63. My advice would be if you choose to smoke, keep a loaded gun around and be sure you have the nerve to use it should the need arise.

My wife and I contribute to the American Lung Association and would bend over backwards to help anybody who asked for help. But I would never take it on myself to tell someone how to live their lives. I just hope they know the deal they are making with the devil and if the time comes to pay the price can be very high both emotionally as well as financially.

As I said before, I should not have said that and really didn't mean it.
I have smoked for 38 years and still don
t smoke in my own house because I just hate the smell. I quit the booze and the Coke, but the nicotine is by far the toughest.
Kind of like a c& w song I heard the other day, "he put the bottle to head and pulled the trigger".

Here's my bottle opener... LOL, I like this idea...making it compact to fit in your wallet. Besides, it's always nice to get a little something unexpected in the mail! :)

(singing happy b-day to myself. :p )

LOL, I just pulled the piece of chalk out of the holder I was sent and Masters doesn't fit. Too big! The chalk that came with it is green and says China on the bottom of it. Oh well, I'm sure someone at the bar will get a kick out of it when I present it to the highest place finisher at next weeks tournament.:D
