Reindeer Horns have the best colors- much differen't that Stag,or moose or regular deer. I saw some knifes from Norway. The handle ends were reindeer such a differen't color. I know of a reindeerfarm near by. I will get some ,use some, show just how unique it is. maybe joint protectors too-

My 8-year-old asked me to make a request of you...could you please wait to do this until December 26th...he doesn't think Rudolph should be "naked" for the "Big Day"! :p

Actually, I think that sounds like a great idea and I can't wait to see the result...I know someone was doing some "hardness" testing of ferrules...maybe you could get a sample to him to see if it measures up to the other antlers used...it might be too late, but just a thought.

The farm should be selling the tips/sheddings .

Let's see some pics, I love the idea of an alternative to elephant ivory especially if it retains all the good qualities of ivory..

The antler (looks like the ocean,or freshwater Sea's

The base of the knives had that-blue-green freshwater look. A differen't look for sure. For those who have been to alaska,or other Northern vast area's. A calming color very easy on the eye tranquil. Going to the farm today or tommorrow.mark
