I have not been able to find any info on this cue.

She has a few battle scars and I prefer a leather wrap on my cue. I was thinking if I get the cue redone I might find some info under the current linen wrap.

Is this a good plan? I would think I am killing 2 birds with 1 stone. If there is a signature under the wrap, do I have to mess this up if going to leather? i.e. is the handle going to have to be shaved down a bit or is the the same depth requirement.

I was also thinking this would look better with a brown wrap. any opinions? The forearm and butt ring wood is a bit browner (Coco mebe?) than orange as the pics appear. What do you think? or a brown linen if I shouldnt change the wrap type.

I would go with a brown and white linen wrap. Unless you like ring tail lizard, if you do put a brown ring tail lizard on there. JMO. I would refinish it and do the wrap at the same time.
