I bought this set from Max when he was visiting Fort Collins, this is an excellent dvd set. A lot of good info in there, but there is that sunlight issue :).

Besides the many concepts and tips I got out of Max's DVD I learned a lot just watching at his body motions and overall relaxed nature at the table. He's relaxed but deliberate. A lot to learn there.
 
Bought this set when it first came out - stresses important details that tend to be overlooked - highly recommended -

P.S. Recently watched a match of Max's from the 2006 straight pool world championship - Max, what happened to the hair and ear rings? :grin:

I know it's not the perfect video production but who really cares, all the really matters in the long run is that it helps your game, right?

I love all the stories about massive improvement in a short time period after watching and applying some of the techniques in there, heartwarming indeed!

I remember how improving my fundamentals immediately increased my match and tournament win percentage. What is that worth to you?
 
Playing speed 9-ball on a tight gold crown is fun... especially when you have your fundamentals down so pat that running out is a given, and the only question is how fast did you run out.
 
Consistency leads to more wins and more fun in the game. It might be hard to control exactly when you are in the zone, yet when you simply become better and more solid, you will find yourself in the zone more often. Also, when you are in a funk, you can use your knowledge and ability to grind out more run outs and more wins.

Like 8-time World Champion Nick Varner told me, Anyone can win when the conditions and situation is easy, lets see how they do in a tough spot, that's the real test.

Putting massive effort into mastering your fundamentals may be the only way for you to start consistently winning the matches you know you can and should win.
