Ok...tiddlewinksBadminton has a BIG following outside the US. It gets far more coverage in a year than pool does in ten.
Unfortunately, your way would never work in a coin-op bar table situation. Literally, nearly every bar table situation is "money racks". Giving the breaker not only the break, but a guaranteed shot afterwards would be the death knell for challengers if the breaker is even a relatively decent shot.My last post on this thread: The ball-on-the-break is not worth it. Way too many problems. Just get rid of it.
Billy is only human who gives a care I have over 50 bar fights growing up hustling pool big freaking dealA good publicist would have him in rehab and anger management classes to show his new leaf.
You sound well-adjustedBilly is only human who gives a care I have over 50 bar fights growing up hustling pool big freaking deal
Only human? What exactly does that mean to you...some sort of free pass to repeatedly be a jagoff? Acting like that will get you beat up in bars....maybe more than 50 times.Billy is only human who gives a care I have over 50 bar fights growing up hustling pool big freaking deal

And your sponsors and fans didn’t seem to mind?Billy is only human who gives a care I have over 50 bar fights growing up hustling pool big freaking deal
You have no idea what you're talking about, seriously. The FCC has no authority over a video posted on the internet. Follow laws? There is NO law that I'm aware of that limits free speech except in very limited situations. And 2 friends playing pool being filmed for the internet and using a slur is NOT one of them. And never will be.This wouldn't happen if it was produced for ESPN.
Independent streamers dont know about the all the production value in following the laws.
Look at the public response.
The lack of leadership from the pool powers about streaming is less enforced than what happen to Charlie Williams and the un sanctioning of the World 14.1
Pool players need to eat, but no one is making sure they follow the laws.
Dude, you are comparing a couple of bangers playing "king of the table" in a bar. They still don't play BIH rules, which has been around for decades, they certainly are not going to play any new break rules.Unfortunately, your way would never work in a coin-op bar table situation. Another Earl would NOT be a bad thing for pool. He put fannies in the seats and its all anyone could talk about. Heck, maybe 10 more Earl'sI don know what all the commotion is about. We used to call this entertainment. The action, the emotion, the thrill of gambling at pool is unequaled ( in my opinion) in any form of competition. I have been shit racked by the best of them, there was a few I wanted to crack over the head. And This nonsense about professionalism cracks me up, the most popular sports are the ones where the players occasionally try to beat each other’s brains out. And just because alcohol is involved it‘s somehow so much more despicable. American‘s were shocked when the British audience at the first mosconi cups where openly drinking and hurling insults at players and other audience members, now it’s accepted and even expected. I miss the days of pool players with offsetting character flaws, vying for money, status and reputation. I don’t want to see stuck up robots that show little emotion. Pool just like any other sport needs to attract people with laughter, skill and the agony of defeat, it needs to entertain. my two cents
Unfortunately that only works long term if you continue to increase the Earl factor....and before we know it pool is either dead or the WWE.Another Earl would NOT be a bad thing for pool. He put fannies in the seats and its all anyone could talk about. Heck, maybe 10 more Earl's![]()
Didn't bother me too much, especially since they made up. When you have sponsors and contracts involved that's a different ball game.I don know what all the commotion is about. I don't know that I would say the kid "needs" rehab. Some counseling in all aspects of life, may be more beneficial. He showed his arse, and got blasted...very publically, and he cost himself a sponsorship. Hopefully it's a one off. If the kid feels bad enough inside, and has a good cast of folks around him, he WILL "fix" himself. That's usually the best kind of fix. I'm not taking anything away from rehab programs, I'd just hate to see him use rehab as a "publicity stunt." If he's going to right whatever ship/s he needs to, I'd rather it meant something to HIM, on the inside. Those are the fixes that last.A good publicist would have him in rehab and anger management classes to show his new leaf.
I'm not saying he "needs" rehab, but a publicist would get him enrolled in something to show he is atoning and working on personal growth.I don't know that I would say the kid "needs" rehab. I know what you were saying.I'm not saying he "needs" rehab, but a publicist would get him enrolled in something to show he is atoning and working on personal growth.
His sponsors would have kept him if he was contrite "working through personal issues"
