I sympathize with Billy Thorpe

I know what you were saying. 😉 I agree with you from a publicity/damage control perspective. I was just looking at it from a slightly different, but related angle. No doubt Billy is a talented young player, and I'm sure we both wish him the best. I just hope he does something lasting, and real, from a self help/personal improvement perspective. Just don't want to see him get caught up in a publicity blitz, that doesn't really allow him the time, or honesty, necessary for true personal reflection. No particular disagreement with you, I was just thinking out loud. 😊
Best regards.

That's fair, if he grows from this and gets better in spite of it, more power to him!

If he stays off facebook and stays in the table, he can avoid the publicity and just bear down to keep winning

I know many people who drink loads and never cause trouble. Booze isn't the issue. The issue is Billy Thorpe. He made a mistake and could have moved on but his "haters" response said it all. Hopefully he will grow and move on and realise that the universe isn't just for him, and be remembered for his talent.

You are correct. Billy is a young man and some day reflecting on this he will hopefully see this for what it was. I still believe this whole ordeal will be sort termed. In this country we don't seem to have many "top dogs", Billy is one of them and many here are hoping he will continue to be one. I personally would hate to see this define who he is. It is not impossible to learn/grow and use your mistakes to make yourself a much better person.
