I tried a few new treatments on my cue cases.

I understand your reaction but I wasn't putting these up for that reason, which you seem to understand already. I, don't myself, make judgements on what people like. I just do the best job I can do with the idea. There are so many different possibilities for designs and treatments that it is blowing me away. I can probably make these for years and not have to do the same design. From Victorian to Celtic, it is wide open.

Oh yes, does that suit come in my size?

Jim

Have you done anything Victorian or Celtic yet? I love seeing the new cases with new features you come up with.

I am just curious, what happens if the zippers are broken? This would be one of the tougher problems. They would be hard to change. One thing though, I have been using these zippers in my training equipment for 14 years and I don't remember any of them breaking. Do you offer a lifetime warranty on the zippers? No, but I'll do my best to fix it.
What about the clip which opens and closes the case? I had one clip like that on one of my old briefcase and it broke very shorty. After that, my briefcase was basically useless. It is a lock and it is easy to fix or change. Does it come with a key? Yes. If I lock the case and loose my key, is there anything you can help me with, such as a spare key? Yes, they are available.
If my shaft (with joint protector) is accidentally stuck in the tube, is there an easy way to take it out? How would that happen? I remember I could just take all the tubes out with my Swifts, Instroke, or Justis and then replace them fairly easily.
Can you replace the felt? How long will that take? I use Cordura nylon to line the tubes. It will last longer than the case.Thank you so much.

Thank you for your prompt answer.

I asked you about the shaft because I had that happened before with a Swift case. I had the joint protector on my shaft and pushed it too deep so the top of the joint protector was level with the tube. I could not take the joint protector out and the shaft would not come out no matter how hard I shaked the case. Can you guess how I looked when this happened to me right before a tournament?:p

Luckily, I was able to take all the tubes out and then pop the shaft back out from the other end of the tube.

Knowing that your tubes go right up to the lid, I am a bit concerned.
Are the tubes loose like a Whitten, or are they tight?

I have looked at a few of your cases but I forgot to check that.

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions.

Best wishes,

Richard

The tubes are not removable. But, a simple solution would be to make it so the tubes are a bit lower than the top of the case so the joint protectors do not come flush to the top but come above the tubes. I just have to know exactly how long the parts are and how high you want them to come above the tube. Also, I am sending the tube fillers on the side so you can determine much of this yourself.

Thanks,
Jim

Hey Jim - I didn't receive any tube fillers, but would like some as one of my cues has much shorter joint protectors and I'd rather not have to turn everything upside down.

Is there any way I can get a set from you?

Of the two cases, I like the first a little better. If you are inquiring about whether or not the gold filigree looks good on a leather case, the answer is yes, but like other posters, it depends upon the design. On the first case, my preference would have been to put the lightening bolt in gold and the start in silver.

On the second, I like the designs on the top and bottom, but I don't think they really go well with the Jackson Cue logo, and I personally wouldn't put metallic with bright primarly colors. As with cues, my opinions of what looks good change daily, as someone will more than likely come up with something that sounds really hideous but looks gorgeous.

Nice, cases overall. I haven't had yours before, but I am sure getting one is inevitable.

Yes, give me a call and I'll send some right out.

No, not yet, but there are alot of great designs that I can do, Right now I have to have a reason because I have to keep working on the orders I have. I just finished a fully carved black to red to black in the original carving that I'll put up in a few days.

Thanks,
Jim
